Birthday

It was my birthday yesterday and I was delighted to celebrate it with great friends, family and tasty gluten-free cupcakes. I am a lucky girl.

Bloom

This stunner opened up the other day in our garden. I wish I knew what it was called but wow - so hairy, big, and yes, one of those stinky flowers that smells like garbage.

Home cooked

I highly recommend handmade plates for eating home cooked meals. When you hold a hand made piece of pottery in your hands, it feels like the food you are eating - honest, appealing and real. It's the perfect container for the love you put into what have prepared.

I am lucky enough to be married to a potter (He has some bowls, but no plates posted yet). But if you're not, no excuse. There's lots of pottery on etsy and around. Even if you just buy one bowl to eat your oatmeal or cereal in, it will be magical.
